Refund Policy
1. General Policy on Refunds
Due to the nature of dental services, refunds are generally not available once a procedure has been performed. However, we are committed to resolving any concerns you may have about your treatment.
2. Refund Eligibility
A. Dental Services (Non-Refundable Services)
Once a treatment or procedure has been started or completed, no refunds will be issued, except under the following circumstances:
✔ A billing error resulted in overpayment for a service.
✔ A pre-paid treatment was canceled prior to initiation, in which case a partial refund may be issued based on the costs already incurred.
✔ A treatment plan modification by our dentist results in a change in the required services and associated fees.
Non-Eligible Refund Situations:
❌ Dissatisfaction with a procedure due to aesthetic preferences rather than clinical issues.
❌ Failure to follow post-treatment care instructions, leading to complications.
❌ Missed appointments, late cancellations, or no-shows (subject to cancellation policy fees).
B. Pre-Paid Services & Deposits
✔ If you pre-pay for a dental procedure and later decide not to proceed before treatment begins, a refund may be issued, minus any applicable consultation or administrative fees.
✔ Treatment deposits are non-refundable but may be applied toward future treatments if rescheduled within the allowed timeframe.
C. Dental Products & Appliances (Partial Refund or Exchange May Apply)
Due to health and safety regulations, refunds are not provided for the following:
❌ Opened or used oral care products (whitening kits, toothbrushes, etc.).
❌ Custom-made dental appliances (crowns, bridges, dentures, retainers, nightguards, aligners) as they are designed specifically for the individual patient.
Eligible for Partial Refund or Adjustment:
✔ A defective product (such as a broken dental appliance) that fails due to lab or material defects within the warranty period may qualify for a repair, adjustment, or replacement at no additional charge.
✔ If a product was purchased in error and remains unused and unopened, a refund may be issued within 7-14 business days of purchase.
3. Insurance & Payment Disputes

If an insurance claim was overpaid, we will refund the excess amount to the appropriate party (patient or insurance provider).

If insurance denies a claim after a service is rendered, the patient remains responsible for the outstanding balance.

Refunds for payments made via credit card will be processed to the original card used. Cash or check payments will be refunded via check within [X] business days.
4. How to Request a Refund
If you believe you are eligible for a refund, please contact us within 7-14 business days of your procedure or purchase.

Terrace Community Dental reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Any updates will be posted on our website, and continued use of our services implies acceptance of the new terms.
